Broken grades are the cheapest whole-lot rice: White Rice Bran is 327 US dollars per tonne FOB. Among unbroken grades, white rice 25% at 450 US dollars per tonne is the usual entry point for high-volume buyers.
Parboiled rice, by a wide margin — it is the staple form across Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana and much of West Africa, and it is also Thailand's largest and fastest-growing rice export category. Steaming the paddy in the husk before milling hardens the grain, so it breaks less in transit and handling, keeps more of the vitamins from the bran, and stays separate when cooked. It also stores better in hot, humid climates — which is why it dominates in West Africa.
